Spousalabuse Stories

This is a poem I wrote about my struggles with spousal abuse and how I overcame it. I am now happily married for the past 16 years. The fear and doubt never fully leave but I am finally happy and safe.

Previously part of the "The One That Got Away" paid anthology, and now available for free! This short story is about a man hoping for a second chance with his lost love, the one who got away, and the dinner he's pinned all his hopes on. TRIGGER WARNING: Mentions of harm and abuse.

Sean Beacon is not a normal boy. He doesn't feel things like other children at Livingston Elementary School. He would do anything to feel. Anything at all. This is the story from the point of view of a sociopathic child. But when Angeline can't stop herself from falling for Jason, she's forced to face a difficult choice: Can she escape her past and be with Jason, or is she risking his life by loving him?
