Hi there! I'm so glad you're about to read this story I wrote a couple of months ago. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone of what I usually write, which is poetry and teaching kind of style, perse. I stepped out and I surprised myself with the result. I had a little, "Oh my goodness, I wrote that?" moment. This is my first short story and I've since wrote a second, longer one. I'm not going to spoiled anything for you so get on the reading and I hope that you'll really enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. ENJOY! Lydie

The one that gets passed around at late-night bonfires, the one that makes your hairs stand on end. In Lost Echo Creek, that story, well, it's all about Tammy Reid. Now, folks 'round here, they'll tell you different things. Some say she's a ghost, others claim she's a guardian, and still others, well, they just shrug and say she's "always been there." But let me tell you, there's more to it than just spooky tales and campfire chatter.

"Do you have any idea whom are you talking to? " he hissed at me while giving me a smirk like I'm some kind of a little creature whom he can crush anytime "I don't give a shit about who you are.. just apologise to that old lady" I shouted at him while giving him a stern look He looked at me shocked "you'll pay for this bitch I swear you'll regret this" he warned me while loosing every inch of patience he had and walked away he was about to move out of the door when I yelled "I can imagine how much your parents regret having a son like you who has no shame and respect even for his elders Do you even use this kind of tone with your mom? " I would be wrong if I say I was expecting some kind regret in him but I just said that I don't why but I just did and I was the one who regretted in the end.

This story is not about ERKENCI KUS, the previous stories that I have written for Wattpad. I have watched to many dramas on cheating spouses and the wives are always pitiful. I wanted them to be strong and fight back. These stories are about heartbroken but strong women who have the perfect revenge. They are from my imagination only and the cover picture from Pinterest is the only thing I have used that is not mine. Please enjoy these stories and as I am not a writer I appreciate lots of feedback. (Just so you know I have never been in a cheating situation and my one and only husband and I have been married 49 years this month of April 2022.) Thank you for reading.

"A tuxedo? In a club? Were you left at the altar or something?" He teased. "That's an interesting theory but no." I replied. "Then what is a man in a fine ass tuxedo doing in a club?" He asked. "To feel alive." He looked at me, curiosity clearly peeking at him judging by his expression. "Well, you're in the wrong place with the right person." He put down his drink and hopped off the stool. "C'mon. Let's get the fuck outta here." He said. "But we just met." "That's just part of the adventure." I don't know what part of my brain responded but here I am walking out of a pub with a stranger who had charming blue eyes. © cleoxpatra for the cover art
