Matt würde sich als ein guter Mensch bezeichnen. Er versteht nicht, weshalb ausgerechnet er dieses schlimme Schicksal tragen muss, denn Matt wird in seinen Jungendjahren vom verfeindeten Land entführt und als Sklave verkauft.
