I'm just your average teen. I have friends, family, etc who have been through hell and back. All of these were based off of real events that have happened to me or others. I will put any warnings for those who would like to be warned before hand.

This is a true story. I am posting it to raise awareness for mental health-specifically for young girls and boys. I hope that this story helps someone, somewhere. Another step into trying to spread awareness about captive marine mammals. I do want to put a Trigger warning as there is slight animal abuse, self harm, death, refrenced bullying, severe health conditions, mentions of injuries and implied saddening topics. This is a fiction story though it has lots of real life concepts and info. This story is about a baby orca who gets taken from his family in the waters of Iceland. He then is put into a tank, eventually performing to please the crowd. but one day something clicks in his brain, an impulsive thought which then he acts upon. This was originally a short story assignment for my English Ⅱ class. My teacher said my story was saddening but gets you thinking about how these animals feel, so she said it could be published to spread awareness and this is my first step into spreading awareness on this topic. Thank you for coming to read my story and I hope it changes your perspective on marine mammals in captivity.
