A short poem (if it can be called that) just describing a scene that fills me with glee, and warm feelings. Setting: Orchard/Garden in South Italy in the spring time. Picture yourself perched on a plush dais, elbow leaned against the sill of an opened window, looking out over a luscious garden that leads into a deep forest. Your silk dress shirt billows in the wind and your hair blows softly about your face. You tuck it behind your ear. You can't help but to smile, contempt and peacefully as the afternoon sun warms the manicured yard. The glint of bright, blushing red nectarines and peaches catches your eyes, tempting you to take bite. All this, for you to enjoy. And more.
