Zoe and Alfie had been best friends for a long while, they were the closest best friends could get. There were a few people in the YouTube community that had already started the Zalfie ship but it didn't become a huge thing until Zoe and Alfie made a Valentine's Day video. They said in that video that they weren't a couple, they were just friends. Some people accepted that but some went crazy.
