📜 PROLOGUE - The Chronicles of the Churches
In ancient times, the world was ravaged by the Primordial Gods.
These entities, described as forces of destruction and disorder, were said to have plunged humanity into an age of suffering and chaos.
It was then that thirteen men rose against them.
In the sacred records, they are known as the Kings.
They were not gods by origin, but extraordinary humans who managed to challenge the impossible. At the end of a war that was said to have shaken the foundations of the world, the Primordial Gods were defeated.
Following this victory, the Kings inherited a power beyond humanity.
Thus, they became the new gods of the world, bringers of order and protectors of civilization.
Under their reign, the world entered a new era of stability and light.
The ancient accounts were then gradually erased or rewritten by the Churches in order to preserve the unity of the world and peace among nations.
Any trace of the Primordial Gods was declared dangerous or heretical.
As for the Thirteenth King, the writings are clear.
He is said to have fallen during the final war, sacrificing his life to secure the victory of the others. His name is rarely mentioned, but his existence is recognized as that of a hero who died in battle.
Thus ends the official history passed down by the Churches:
an ancient war, a divine victory, and the birth of the gods who now protect humanity.
