The fact that a character who works in a club and has a lot of experience with drugs died because of his addiction seemed inappropriate to me. His ending could have been more interesting if they had developed him as a character and made the probability of his victory problematic by showing that he did everything he could to make everyone turn against him, leaving himself alone.
