She's been trapped since she was a little girl. Constantly being fed from and raped. She knows nothing other than the darkness. Never has she know another human, the only contact she has had is with vampires. Her name is a mystery even to her, and she has only a ninth grade education. Something about her is different. Sookie and Bill were having problems with a rouge vampire. He was terrorizing people. They only know that there is someone in danger and that they have to stop him. Before someone gets killed. Eric Northman is asked to help Sookie and Bill. At first he is reluctant but then he is told that there is a girl called West involved and decides to help. What will happen? Will Eric finally find someone to love, or someone for dinner?

Begins after book 8. The Fellowship is growing more militant and everyone is in danger, not least Sookie. Then, following an unexpected attack, Sookie and Eric finally have their long overdue talk, but Sookie's life is changing so quickly and she's afraid of what the future may hold. I originally wrote this back in 2008 and published it as part of a series over on FF net. Given the rather terrible (depending on your POV) ending to the book series, I'm dusting it off and polishing it up. The plot summary of From Dead to Worse (Book 8) from Wikipedia, is at the top of chapter one, just to jog your memory about where we're at in the book series.

When Savannah (Savie) Stackhouse comes home to Bon Temp to attend her grandmothers funeral it soon becomes apparent her family need her so she makes the decision to move back home. She gets a job at Merlotte's as a waitress and moves in with Sookie. It doesn't take Savie long to realise her cousin Jason is addicted to V and she has to take drastic measures to help him get clean. Along the way she is introduced to the beautifully dangerous Eric Northman who seems to take a shine to her. But unlike her cousin Sookie Savie dislikes vampires. She doesn't wish them harm but will not associate herself with the likes. It doesn't take her long to fall under his spell and she falls in love with him. The two become inseparable much to Pam's dismay and there are even talks of him turning her.
