Hello, all. What you are about to read is a story I have been working on for almost a year now, but one that I have been writing for a few months. It is a play called "Tender Mercies". I am posting this deeply personal story to Wattpad as an attempt to motivate and inspire myself to write more. Like I said, this story is a play, and is therefore written in play-format. I don't expect anyone to read this, but nonetheless, I hope you enjoy. (Constructive criticism is appreciated!)

The Plot: When the Academy's Director, the perpetually stressed Tuan Haynako, realizes the school is 100 million rupiah in the hole, he issues an ultimatum: The regional cliques must end their centuries-old beef and create one "Unified Dance" to save the school. But how can you have unity when: Pangeran Sombong is dodging Tulang, a Dayak warrior who wants his 100 million back. Ratu Cantik, the "Princess of the Stage," is one migraine away from a total mental breakdown because her gold crown weighs more than her future. Mangindaan is trying to propose to Toto Sihombing with a war dance, while Raja Legong is giving Toto "the eyes"? Girl Landi won't stop twerking during the sacred palace rehearsals? From the sassy "Blind Items" of the Kelompok Sosyaleras to the secret midnight snacks of Pangeran Pandang, witness the chaos as the students try to blend Kabasaran war cries with Saman claps. Will they find the "Universal Groove"? Or will the whole school end in a giant, disorganized "Macarena" fail?

Three friends travel through time and space to learn about the nature of good and evil, human suffering, and contemporary Lutheran theology. Also, there's a sock puppet. A brief one-act play, suitable for most ages, written with performances at church events in mind.
