"Tradition is a treasure... but debt is a nightmare." Welcome to the Nusantara Arts Academy, the country's most prestigious traditional dance boarding school. It's a place of grace, ancient rituals, and spiritual discipline. At least, that's what the brochure says. In reality, it's a battlefield of egos, crashing plates, and gossip so spicy it could burn a hole through a Batavia mask. The Plot: When the Academy's Director, the perpetually stressed Tuan Haynako, realizes the school is 100 million rupiah in the hole, he issues an ultimatum: The regional cliques must end their centuries-old beef and create one "Unified Dance" to save the school. But how can you have unity when: Pangeran Sombong is dodging Tulang, a Dayak warrior who wants his 100 million back. Ratu Cantik, the "Princess of the Stage," is one migraine away from a total mental breakdown because her gold crown weighs more than her future. Mangindaan is trying to propose to Toto Sihombing with a war dance, while Raja Legong is giving Toto "the eyes"? Girl Landi won't stop twerking during the sacred palace rehearsals? From the sassy "Blind Items" of the Kelompok Sosyaleras to the secret midnight snacks of Pangeran Pandang, witness the chaos as the students try to blend Kabasaran war cries with Saman claps. Will they find the "Universal Groove"? Or will the whole school end in a giant, disorganized "Macarena" fail?

"There you go again. Letting your head get the better of you." Becca's eyes shot to his. "You can't hold back like that, not if you want it to feel real." Her cheeks felt like they were on fire. Yes, she'd stopped. She knew. But he spoke like it was so simple, like she was just some amateur afraid of the stage. He had no clue what this felt like, that it wasn't the scene that made her chest tight. It was looking at him. She put a full foot of distance between them. "I know how to act, Boris!" He stood there, unmoved. "Then show me." Her nails dug into her palms. No. She wasn't going to let him break her. She pulled her shoulders back, took a breath, and planted her feet. "Fine," she bit out. "This time...I'll finish it." ⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒ When Becca Morgan walked through the doors of her old high school, she never expected to get pulled back into the world of theater. She also didn't expect Boris an intense and incredibly talented 18-year-old senior who gets under her skin. A single rehearsal is all it takes for things to get complicated, blurring the lines between the roles they're playing and the people they're becoming. 🎭 𝕀𝕤 𝕚𝕥 𝕙𝕚𝕞 𝕀'𝕞 𝕕𝕣𝕒𝕨𝕟 𝕥𝕠...𝕠𝕣 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕘𝕚𝕣𝕝 𝕀 𝕦𝕤𝕖𝕕 𝕥𝕠 𝕓𝕖, 𝕞𝕚𝕣𝕣𝕠𝕣𝕖𝕕 𝕚𝕟 𝕙𝕚𝕞? It's about the messy, complicated search to find yourself again. ⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒⭒

HOW TO BE THE TRUTH THEY CAN'T HANDLE A self-help guide (monologue) for when you think you've somehow "disturbed" everyone just by existing. Psst-if you're reading this, you probably have. ~ synopsis: a satirical monologue in the form of: self-help guide. explores and challenges themes of: exclusion, control, discrimination, autismphobia, ableism, and the performative nature of so-called inclusion. diving into uncomfortable truths about power, perception, and belonging, highlighting tactics like last-minute rule changes meant to exclude, weaponization of politeness, gaslighting. confronting issues such as performative allyship, mechanisms of systemic marginalization, particularly related to ableism and neurodivergence. And the quiet power of resistance and self-empowerment. Blends satircal humor, sharp social commentary, raw vulnerability. holding up a mirror to systemic biases, exposing how institutions and individuals manipulate, patronize, and isolate those who don't fit the mold. Through direct address, self-deprecating wit, and theatrical meta-commentary. Piece forces both Protagonist and audience to confront uncomfortable truths. Creatively breaks the fourth wall and uses humor as both a shield and a weapon. Speaks to the universal struggles of navigating societal expectations, personal identity, and the desire for understanding and belonging. Personal yet relatable piece is designed to capture audience attention and hopefully leave them reflecting long after the performance. ~ i've already self-published this stageplay a small while now. putting it here too because this art was created to be shared :)

A Freudian Slip of the Jung: The Musical is an award winning comedy/satire/bedroom farce by Sean Fisher that explores the turbulent and complicated relationship between Dr. Sigmund Freud and Dr. Carl Jung. The play is based on real stories that occurred between the two doctors, Freud's wife Martha and her sister Minna. These two founding fathers of psychoanalysis were influenced heavily by each other despite having completely different beliefs about religion. Freud was a staunch atheist and Jung a devout catholic.
