River's Howl
They were taken.
Stolen from the safety of their world.
Locked in a place where voices spoke too calmly, where hands held too tightly, where every breath felt like a risk.
But Rain and Colt escaped.
Through the shadows. Through the fear. Through the relentless grip of desperation-chased by something worse than the night itself.
And they weren't alone.
River-silent, unshaken, watching-had followed. Had led. Had protected.
Now, in the heart of the wild, every step forward is a fight for survival. Every breath is a reminder of what lurks behind them. Every second brings them closer to home-if home still exists.
Because they weren't the only ones watching.
Because some things refuse to let go.
And because River's howl doesn't just echo into the night-it warns of what's coming next.
The book start getting good at chapter 9, the first 8 are mainly background.

Author's Note
This book takes place during Rain's 3rd through 5th grade years, a time when she was homeschooled on the ranch before transitioning to public school. Her education wasn't just about coursework-it was about survival, resilience, and the lessons of life itself.
Rain and Colt experience trauma that no one should ever endure, yet their journey isn't defined solely by hardship. This story explores their incredible strength, the ways they cope, and how they navigate the shadows of their past while holding onto hope for the future.
Through pain, they find resilience. Through loss, they find understanding. And through each challenge, they discover a part of themselves that refuses to break.
I truly hope you connect with their story, and I appreciate you being part of this journey. I'm already working on the next installment, and I can't wait to share it with you. Thank you for reading.
