summers end is a story set in derry Maine, where the losers club tries to hold onto the last days of their youth. a year after facing a nightmare that changed them forever, the barrens, and the fading summer sun. but beneath their laughter and adventures, deeper feelings begin to surface- especially the loud quick-witted Richie Tozier and the anxious but sharp tongues Eddie Kasprak. as the end of summer approaches and high school looms ahead, the losers must navigate friendship, memory, and the uncertain pull of growing up- all while discovering that some connections run deeper than they ever imagined.
