D tent went to a summer camp, not close to camp green lake at all. It felt weird not digging holes everyday. but it felt good at the same time. but it would become their nightmare. perhaps camp green lake was better this time. but who would know? Down a player due to a broken leg, Green Lake High's baseball B-Team is desperate for a replacement. Despite long-held dreams of playing on the field beneath the bright lights, Stanley Yelnats knows he won't be taken off the bench any time soon. But being relegated to the team's equipment manager isn't all bad: he gets to hang out with his best friend Hector as he tracks the teams stats, he gets to travel with the team even if he has to sit on the worst seat of the bus, he gets some exercise lugging their bats around. It might be a small, overlooked job but he's used to that, being overlooked. Invisible. Forgotten. And then Mickey Mason shows up to try-outs. Stanley/OC High school AU set in the 90s. You don't have to read Inconsolable to dive into this one, but it may make the dynamics of this iteration of D-Tent make sense due to it being an alternate universe of that fic.
