This is a story about never making the same mistake twice. I plan to update this story often, so please be sure to add this to your reading list if you enjoy science fiction, action, and mystery. To begin, I'd like to note that this story takes place in the "Septinum" Starbound universe, by Xigo, albeit outside of that story. The only thing that is mentioned in the story about "Septinum" is the current lore and existence of characters. More of an homage, really. This is one of the stories I am typing about the six races in starbound. "To Soar Once More" is about the theocratic race of the avians. The main protagonist is named Moonbeak and is running for his life from the evil extremists known as the stargazers that want him to be one more sacrifice to their fraudulent god. For those who don't play Starbound, I will give a "brief" story about the avians. The avians are a warrior race of bird people that were able to fly until their god Kluex told the elders to clip the wings of the lower classed avians. Avians culture looks similar to Aztecs/Mayans. The building are made of sandstone bricks and avians mainly use primitive weapons such as spears made from wood and rock. Avian warrior will fiercely defend their temples from any intruder that dares walk near them. They rarely ever allow traders and explorers in. Avians that didn't believe in Kluex would be banished from their villages and families. They are named the grounded and run for a safer home.

This is the result of a fever dream after playing Starbound (Powered by Frackin' Universe). That being said, I am going to be using modded content, including custom races, items, weapons etc. With that out of the way, enjoy! It's been 30 years since the Ruin was destroyed. Humanity has been able to regain a stablish population, and are currently rebuilding their lost civilization. Things are going well for most. However, there have been reports of a large spike in energy after the destruction of the Ruin. Shortly after, there were reports of never before seen races and planet types popping up throughout the universe. It seems that there were many civilization that had fallen to the Ruin, and due to it's defeat, they have somehow reappeared. While this is an interesting outcome, not much is known about most of them. Who knows, maybe some are better off dead...
