The relationship between you and your grandpa was barely there. Your parents had moved away from their small hometown before you had been born, and in all the 25 years of your life, you had only seen him once a year during the Feast of Winter Star, but only until you were 12. So it was a complete surprise when Grandpa's will was read and he left his house, his property, and his farm animals to you. From the little information you had been given, most of the animals had been taken in by neighboring towns, leaving you with four chickens and two cows to tackle on your own. It was definitely something something you were going to have to get used to. But taking care of the farm animals would soon be the least of your concern as you got yourself into a tangled love. Before your grandpas death, he entrusted you with a letter, which he said to only open when you feel crushed by the burden of modern day life. Working at JoJa co. is not the life you dreamed of, so eventually you read the envelope that your grandpa left you and inside that envelope was a letter and a deed to his farm and cottage, located in Stardew Valley. You then move to Stardew Valley only to meet Shane. An alcoholic, who doesn't have many friends and is mostly always negative toward life. But maybe there's more to him then what meets the eye and maybe you two find yourself becoming friends or maybe even lovers... Yeah I know this is going to be a bad fanfic... but bare with me! Juniper hadn't thought about Sebastian in years, ever since they graduated from college and went their separate ways. When she finds a letter from her grandpa in her desk drawer at work inviting her to live on his vacant farm, she remembers that Stardew Valley was where Sebastian had said he was from, but she was sure he couldn't live there now. He was talented at programming and a talent like that surely took him to some fancy company in Zuzu City or even beyond. When she arrives at Stardew Valley, she's greeted by the mayor, Lewis, and the resident carpenter Robin. She quickly develops a friendship with the outgoing, blue-haired bartender, Emily, who insists that Juniper visit her at work, and often. One night, as Juniper is settling in for a night visiting Emily at work, she sees the ghost from her past, the one person she never thought she'd see again. His presence in her life again stirs up many prior memories of their time together at college, and the rocky road that led them to a tumultuous end. Now, Juniper is left to wonder how she is supposed to maneuver through living in this small town, when the one person who knew the girl she was in another life seems to be hiding around every dark corner, reminding her of the past.

Or is she something not so human?

Twelve years later, burned out from life in Zuzu City and working for Joja Corp., she returns to Fernsong Farm after her grandfather's death forces her back to the valley she's spent years trying not to think about.
