Born with the incredibly rare and powerful Quirk Starfire Core (Tamaranean Physiology), Nova possesses abilities that rival the top Pro Heroes. She can absorb solar and ultraviolet radiation to fuel godlike strength, near-invulnerability, supersonic flight, and devastating emerald-green Starbolts that erupt from her hands and eyes. Her powers are deeply tied to her emotions-joy lifts her into the sky, while righteous anger turns her into a blazing force of destruction. Yet this same emotional link is her greatest weakness. Underneath the radiant power lies a gothic Y2K/emo soul. Nova dresses in dark rebellious fashion-ripped fishnets, chain-laden cargo skirts, oversized band tees, platform boots, spiked chokers, and silver star jewelry. She carries herself with quiet confidence mixed with melancholy, often listening to emo and post-hardcore music on rooftops at night, staring at the stars she feels disconnected from. Story Hook: After a traumatic incident involving a villain who exploited her emotional instability, Nova arrives at U.A. hoping to gain better control over her Quirk and find a place where she truly belongs.
