His coming of age ceremony, was today and he was finally turning eighteen. He meets a mysterious woman who leads him into a room with tubs filled with aquatic creatures. As he enters the water, he eventually relaxes, only to be startled when two fish latch onto his nipples.

Mer cat dragons, like Ocean, usually live underwater, but having hatched without gills, he has to live on land, where there is no mer cat dragon school. He wishes for an education. He wishes for a pair of loving parents. He wishes for a better life. In this story, Ocean's step dad does abuse him, but I don't put much details, and I skim over these parts to keep it clean.
