This was inspired by mybraingobrrr's story idea. There was only one chapter tho and I wanted to do my own take on the story because I absolutely adore this anime and this concept. It's just *chef's kiss*. Anywho, Maki Katsuragi becomes the Soft Tennis club's therapist. But while he may have been able to help all the others, would anyone be able to help him? Also the last scene of the anime does not exist because I don't need to be tortured by that anymore than I already am. !Warning!: This story will contain abuse (emotional and physical), sad shit, and minor cursing (maybe). Abuse /əˈbjuːs/ Noun Violent, cruel treatment of someone. Toma Shinjo wasn't dumb. Quite the opposite in fact. When Maki came out to him about how he was afraid to be left alone in his house in fear of getting shaken down by his father for money. He stepped in and did what he thought was the best. So he was somewhat of a pro at this kind of stuff. Sure his father's barely home. Sure his own mother hates him, and makes that clear. Sure his house is always silent and cold when he comes back from school. But that didn't matter, For it is not abuse. And Toma was happy that was the case. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hello! I hope you spend some time reading my story! It's for the anime, Stars Align which I strongly suggest you watch right away! I kinda deal with the emotional side of abuse, because no matter what anyone says, abuse is abuse. No matter the disguise it may hold.

How do you know when you're on fire? Not in the literal sense, of course. As a metaphorical statement, how do you know you're on fire, and how do you douse the inferno before you are nothing more than bubbling, crispy flesh, a shell of who you once were? Katsuragi Maki didn't know it, but he's been on fire for a long time.

His voice broke... he was crying, She tried to sound as non-threatening as possible in order to calm him down, "Maki? Hey, Maki?" "NO, NO, No, no, no" his voice just kept getting quieter... "I DIDN'T... I DIDN'T LOCK IT! HE'S GOING TO-" (basically Mitsue finds Maki after his dad comes to visit, and the team shows up to help their friend when he needs them most)

"Maki!" Shou shouts, hysterical. "Are you okay?! Where did you go?! I-" "This is," he swallows, "This is Touma. I'm-I'm Maki's doubles partner," his voice warbles. "Touma? Where are you two?" Shou pauses and Touma wouldn't be surprised if Shou could hear his pounding heart over the phone. "Are you alright? You and Maki, are you two alright?" "Um," and Touma wheezes out a nervous laugh.
