But Jorvik has never been a normal place and while nobody living there realizes it powerful beings fight for control of the magic of this island. Like the others Jacky lives life unaware, working with her horse Oreo to become a better rider, but when she finds an injured horse while riding one day her perspective on everything has to change.

After a quick google search, I found out that Moorland Stables was in Jorvik! It had always been Jamie's dream to visit the horse crazed island of Jorvik, so when a job opportunity came up at one of the most popular stables in Jorvik came up, she took it without hesitation. The day she arrived, one magical show changed the way her eyes saw the world, and finally she felt what love at first sight felt like.

Raina's grandparents helped raise her, but when Carla turned 18, she decided to move to Jorvik for university, moving in with her aunt, who lived there and agreed to look after Raina until Carla gets home. But Carla also tells her daughter lots, including things mentioned in druid meetings, which drew the attention of the dark riders and dark core who wanted information about the druids' plans, and so they make a plan to kidnap Raina.
