James Kirk is experiencing Deja Vu when an Asgardian soldier is left behind during a skirmish with the planet's bipolar leader. Theseus just wants to go home and take a nap, although... the stars do look beautiful from amongst them. But why do these strangers seem so familiar? And how did he even get here in the first place? This is a tale of suspicion, of confusion, of isolation, and above all, nerdiness. "Thus far, the diplomatic mission had gone well, all things considered. The planet of Freyr VI, colloquially known as Asgard, was well on its way to joining the federation, when everything went sideways. Surprisingly, this time Jim had nothing to do with the current altercation, but, well, none of this is particularly important. At least not for you, and certainly not yet. Sequel to The Vulcan and The Anomaly. The Enterprise docks on an unknown planet. Kirk, Bones, Spock, Serenity Valentino, and 5 crew men beam down. Along the way, three redshirts are killed and their bodies are discovered with huge bite marks. Four Death Maidens noticed that their Queen's signature has been rubbed all over Spock, and some on McCoy. None of them know if they are trying to steal their Queen like the Nkri Fengári. The four are ambushed be the natives, and by letting loose her Death Maiden form, Serenity saves them.
