Historias de Starve

In 2050 a war broke out that shuck the entire world, no one was safe from the war which ended promptly in 2080. Almost everything was destroyed and with a blank canvas, it was decided that a new world would be built. Super markets and shop chains no longer exist, replaced by family run businesses that are striving in the climate, and with cars being replaced by carts pulled by horses, its as if the world is turning back on itself. The rich prosper and live in large houses whist the poor do their best to earn money or end up on the streets, but the lowest of all are the Deviants. The war brought with it various chemicals and with them came side effects. With the chemicals no longer in the air, the mutations that it has caused have only just come to light. The Deviants are those that suffered at the hands of these chemicals that have resulted in them gaining certain 'powers'. Afraid of what might come from them, the Deviants became the social outcasts, left homeless and starving but most of all, feared by the rest of the world. In the small town of Sherwood the homeless are arrested and never seen again and when Leo himself is taken, Shay goes on a mission to find out what is happening, only, she never expected one of the rich students to follow her. When they find out what is truly going on, the students are determined to make sure everyone knows what happens inside the walls of the clinics, but they never expected the tables to turn and for them to become the outcasts. Will they be able to change the way the town views the Deviants before it is too late?

Mini Poems: poems that don't take up more than a wattpad page. This is a book of mini poems, with topics that include: -tortured love -one-shot imaginations -a description of the little things in everyday life -confessions of what bothers my mind. Most-to-all of these are in freestyle and do not rhyme, because I feel like I skew the meaning of the poem if I try to rhyme...it's not a natural quality to my poems, so I'd just rather not attempt that. There's an eventual journey into much of my mind if you read far enough. Thread with careful step, reader, because you'll end up looking into my soul. When you live in a poor, broken apart, small city....Food is the hardest thing to achieve. You aren't allowed to go out into the woods and hunt, then only thing you can do is for long hours for the Mayor. It may sound easy but, 15 people get chosen by random to participate in the 'Feast Fest'. Millions of people watching you kill your friends because you starving and becoming dehydrated. Only the best survive the fest...Normally that's only 2 or 3 people. The rest die of starvation of heat strokes.

A girl struggling with her self image is plagued with nightmares pushing her deeper into her disorder.

( sensitive content : not suitable for young readers ) As Amai's 15th birthday starts to arrive, she realises her inner demons, Self-Joy and Self-Starve are more then they seem to be. One day she wakes up to find they are real people.. and the only way she can stop them from ruining more lives is to face her fears and deal with her inner demons.
