It is a dark time for the Republic. It has been revealed that Chancellor Palpatine is a Sith lord. After finding this out, the Jedi Council discusses how they will defeat him. Meanwhile, Anakin Skywalker is having dreams that his wife, Padmé Amidala, is going to die while giving birth to their child. Anakin puts his trust in Chancellor Palpatine to help save Padmé's life after he learns that Palpatine may be the way to saving Padmé from dying in childbirth. The Jedi successfully end up defeating the Chancellor, but not before he declares that the Republic is now a Galactic Empire. When the Chancellor is defeated, Anakin starts to stress more than he already was (and definitely more than he needs to). After all, Palpatine was Anakin's only hope to saving Padmé from dying... right? About a month after Padmé gives birth, she and a few others get together to form a small rebellion to take down and destroy the Empire.
