Not so long ago, the Jedi were known as the peacekeepers of the galaxy. Everything changed when the war came. It rounded up all it could, as trauma is best experienced shared. They don't call it trauma-bonding for nothing. Her path wasn't to act as a Jedi Knight, she forged a different path. Yet, she answered when the knock came. She had to. She learned all she could about military tactic and how war could change a person. Even though it wasn't as planned, she was content with her place during the war. She had grown used to it, learned to accept it. But, like everything, the war had to come to an end and become one with the force - a thing of the past. An unfortunate and devastating event landed her on the team of Clone Force 99. The horrors didn't end there.

Aurora, an amazing Bounty Hunter, ready for anything! She's not much of an conversationalist but when she has to work with a group of clones, who would have thought that she has found the closest thing to a family she would get....⚠️slow, both Aurora and Hunter get together towards the endish⚠️

It's been months since Kamino's destruction, and the Bad Batch have been avoiding the Empire ever since. Their family is together, no matter how shaky it may feel. That doesn't mean adventures are anywhere near an end. (Or, the second season time in a Hunter-Crosshair role-swap, where they stayed together after Kamino)

The bad batch has an extra member in the group and she's having a hard time with her older "brother" gone. Is she going to go back for him? Is he going to back willingly? Is the batch just never going to be a full family?What's gonna happen?

To keep Crosshair under control once his chip starts failing, the Empire decides to use him in a risky Dark Side experiment in a bid to find new ways to enforce loyalty: by making him a vampire. Crosshair's first mission is to find Clone Force 99 and turn them. But when have the Bad Batch ever let things go according to plan?

Order 66 brought reality crashing back in, and it was a sharp reminder that even if they're vampires, that doesn't mean their newfound closeness is untouchable. All Hunter wants is to bring his family back together again, but with Crosshair hunting them down, and Tarkin aware of Hunter's Force sensitivity, it won't be easy.

If you want to read a slow burn about Crosshair, this is for you. It is completely cannon compliant and fun to read if you have seen the first season. It fits into the season as if it was always a part of what was happening. What if Crosshair stays with the empire because he has more there that just being a good soldier to come back to? Written in novel format based on Season 1 of the Bad Batch, this is a platonic romance that dives into the darkness of what Kamino has done to the clones and what the future holds for them after Order 66 and the enactment of War-Mantle. As an author, I enjoy looking deeper at the issues of interpersonal drama woven together with politics.
