At sunset, the sands would turn to a soft gold, and the child became a long shadow wandering alone at the edge of the world. No humans here. No roads. No houses. No names for places. Only a solitary hill overlooking the sea, a tree bent by the wind, and a small wooden cabin once built by trembling hands. Corvo's heart is marred with scars, as is his body. He needs time to heal and figure it all out. And to puzzle out his feelings for a certain Master Thief.... This is my first fanfic in a long time!
