Saffron sat in front of him in her chair. She had her legs kicked up on the arm of her chair and she was twirling a strand of white hair in her left hand, the right one had some whiskey in it. "A 'friend' of mine is in need of a crew. But uh, she might not be as excited as you are about Blackbeard. I'll come with you and back you up if she needs convincing. But that's all I'll do, you have to do all the talking." Stede was such an open book, his excitement and gratefulness was all in his face, she didn't need to hear him explain how grateful he was for her help. "We'll head out in an hour." And with that, Stede stood up to go tell his crew and Saffron grabbed her stuff.

Stede was a well-known gentleman who was understood to have been very unsettled with his life. Married with children, his life lacked a certain feel of something he craved. Well, be careful what you wish for as the day of the raid had happened. Blackbeard had come.

"What's happening?" Thundered Blackbeard. "We're back and we're here to talk, or rather, I'm here to talk with you," was the response he got from Stede. --- Stede came back to talk, but things don't always go according to plan. fanart used on the cover by @haflacky (you can find them on tumblr)

He loves to sing and dance and read love stories. He loves the way he looks in fine things. Stede wants to be loved by Ed the way he loves him.

Stede Bonnet is most certainly not the runaway son of an incredibly wealthy baron, who fled the very night he was to be wed to a Ms. Mary Allamby. Heavens no! He's a Lighthouse Keeper. The title says it all. I have written two EdxStede one shots since the last episode for Our Flag Means Death aired. I'll probably be posting them on ao3 when I get an account but that may take a while.

Ed comes home to the sound of shouting and yelling when he finds Stede fighting off a stranger and winning. Ed could never guess what the fight was over.

After Stede left Ed at the dock with a broken heart, both men seemed to change for the better and the worse. In this fanfic you will see our favorite pirate couple as they fight for their lives to get back together and be the people they want to be.
