So this is a story about Stef and Lena and it's just a made up thing about how they met. In this story, none of the kids are in the picture and neither is Mike. Stef is a police officer living on the 5th floor of an apartment building and Lena is a vice principal living on the first floor of that same apartment building. Enjoy:)

Stef Foster is looking for the little girl she gave up for adoption twelve years ago. Lena Adams wants to adopt the young girl that has no one. What happens when both women come face to face in a battle for the same child? (A story mildly inspired by the book The Gift by Danielle Steel. I am not a doctor so I apologize for any medial errors - the story is just for entertainment.)

Stef and Lena finally get some alone time after a long as the kids go out for the day.

"The first thing that you should know about me, is that my lungs aren’t very good at being lungs. Actually, not very good is an understatement, they are in fact terrible. There’s nothing that will make me any better, I’m just waiting."

What if the roles were reversed? Callie Adams-Foster and her younger brother Jude live with their biological mother Stef and her wife Lena, in addition to their adopted siblings Mariana and Jesus. They have a pretty typical routine: school, after-school activities, and "be home by dinner." Sometimes a person comes along and shakes everything up, but is it really for the worst? Brandon Jacob didn't need anything or anyone. He was almost 17, which was, in his opinion, far too old to get adopted. No family was really going to want him, anyway. No one wanted the messed up kid from juvi. But when he somehow stumbles into the Adams-Foster household, his opinions on want, need, or otherwise get turned upside down. (The title is from the song Smile by Mikky Ekko.)

This is just something I'm making up about Teri Polo and Sherri Saum (aka queens) realizing that they're falling in love!

Stef Foster has the perfect life. She has an adoring husband, Mike, and a son, Brandon. After moving to San Diego, she meets the amazing vice principal, Lena Adams, of her son's new school. There's just one problem; she's a lesbian. All of a sudden Stef's life seems to be tearing at the seams. Her and her husband are no longer getting along leading to their separation and Mike becoming a drunk, making it that much harder for Stef. Being new, Stef still hasn't found anyone to lean on, except Lena. What happens when an old friend convinces Stef to fake a divorce in order to be with Lena? What happens when the unexpected happens?

With Callie and Brandon in college, Stef and Lena continue to have their hands full with Jude and the twins.
