It was never just fame and basketball

Talia, a popular high school junior. She's not only popular because of her enthusiastic and friendly personality, and her appearance, but also because she's bothers with jay. Jay is a senior in high school, plays basketball and is popular but doesn't like all of the attention so he tries to stay on the down low with his best friend Stephen. Stephen is just like jay on the varsity basketball team, captain and trying to stay out of the popularity light while everyone tries to get at him. Including all of talias friends that she brings over to her house while Steph's there. Steph stays at jay and talias parents house a lot because his parents have to travel for there jobs. Talia and Steph make fun of and play with each other but are always there for one another. see what happens when Steph and talia finally become closer.

Deemed "a menace to society" and a "thug with a bad attitude" while growing up in the slums of New Orleans - no one ever thought August Alsina would amount to anything. But trouble has a weird way of finding August, no matter where he goes and soon he finds himself fighting demons from his past. Can August help save his pesky teenage students from making the same mistakes he made? Can he lead them down a different path before its too late? Or will they end up teaching him a lot more then he expected? And saving him? Join August as he fights to continue walking a straight line, even though he was destined to walk a CROOKED PATH.
