Matthew and Stephanie plan a picnic, in which the unexpected happens. Disclaimer: This is not for the faint of heart. We took angst to a whole new level in this work. This fic was a little project that I worked on with @TheZeldaNerd where we combined our writing styles into one work. I wrote Steph's POV and she wrote Mat's POV. Thank you Jess for writing this with me. I'm really glad we had this opportunity to work together on this piece. This was honestly an amazing experience. I love you!

Matthew Patrick lives in a world where you are born with something that connects you to your soulmate. Be that a mark, a way to communicate, a string of fate. Something. He has nothing. Stephanie Cordato just transferred to his school. She used to be able to transform, and when she did, she found herself wherever her soulmate was. It's been 11 years since she'd seen that blond boy. They're thrown together when a massive snowstorm strikes the country. Most places regain power and clear roads soon enough, but their school isn't so lucky. And his roommates are taking a week trip to Germany... - And Stephanie, who used to write letters she promised she would mail to the tree, is now delivering them in person. Or, at least, her German penpal is. But that doesn't stop her from wishing she was there. - Will fate play out? Or will they be forced to give up on their last wishes...

Stephanie Cordato just wants a summer romance. Matthew Patrick is in North Carolina for the summer, working at the local diner. Both cross paths, but only for a short amount of time. What happens? Matthew falls head over heels for a girl who's been stood up, that girl is Stephanie, who is determined not to lose two people in one night. But they only have two weeks before Matthew has to head home for Medina, Ohio and leaves Stephanie alone once more.

Matthew Patrick is your average 16 year-old boy: the video game obsessing, theatre performing, cat-loving, geeky boy. Ok, so maybe not-so average indeed. While driving back from the grocery store with Jason's birthday cake, Matthew and Stephanie endure a head-on collision with a drunk driver, rendering both unconscious. Matthew turns out alright, escaping with only a few minor bruises and a slight concussion, but Stephanie's legs break in the process. After leaving the hospital, Stephanie is forced to learn how to walk again and Matthew promises to do everything in his power to help her, but as time goes on, both Patricks are unsure if Stephanie will ever fully recover causing Stephanie to feel useless and Matthew to blame the accident on his own reckless driving. Will Stephanie ever fully recover? Will Matthew ever forgive himself? Only time will tell. Beginning chapters are the most physically painful for it describes the crash and deals with most of Stephanie's hospitalization. The rest are equal parts fluff equal parts emotional, but 100% Matthew and Stephanie bonding. If you love someone so much, even almost five years of marriage is not enough time to fully know each other c; Jason and Chris also play big supporting roles in this fanfic. *Blows kiss to sky* for Jason and Chris

Matthew Patrick was always considered weak. Bullies in his school are always beating him up and picking up on him. If there is something that he wants to do, is to fight back. Lucky him, the school has karate lessons, and without thinking twice, he signs up. When he goes to the first lesson, he finds out that all the students are pared, and that his partner is a girl named Stephanie Cordato. "Great, now I have to learn how to fight from a girl. when did I become so pathetic?"

Matthew Patrick's life has been going swimmingly. His YouTube channels gain more subscribers every day, and he seems to have developed a brand for himself. He's living a happy life with his wife, Stephanie, and it seems like his own perfect fairy tale. Then he tries to help the boy at the pizzeria. Never did he think that trying to do the right thing would end in his being tied up in a basement. Now, Matt has no choice but to do everything he can to try to escape. But with each day that passes, he begins to figure out that something isn't quite right with his captor. While doing his best to survive, Matt must also find out the truth behind the psychopath that kidnapped him. The worst part is, he's been warned... he only has five nights.
