Miguel Reyes, the older brother of El Cuatrero, Rogelio Reyes, is a Luchador based out of Mexico and always took care of himself when it came to trouble or needing to helping others. Along the way, Miguel would become best friends with his brother's girlfriend, Ana Gonzalez, AKA Stephanie Vaquer, who was very nice and close to him, where they always hung out whenever Rogelio wrestled, but one day, in early 2023, his little brother, Rogelio had been arrested for domestic violence and attempted murder on Ana. Instead of coming to his brother's defense, knowing how insane he'd become, Miguel would console and defend Ana, who she found refuge in him after so many months of friendship and soon after, Gonzalez would file a lawsuit on her now former boyfriend and refused to sign with AEW, with shocking information coming out that Rogelio had friends in the company and wanting him there, the same time that Stephanie was wanting to sign. Refusing to go to AEW with his best friend, Miguel would let his contract with AAA, same with Ana as Miguel would offer to come with her to NXT, as a way to protect her from being vulnerable, just in case his brother breaks out of jail and tries to kill her again. However, over time, during her time of grief and visa application processes, Stephanie starts to fall for Miguel, seeing him as more than a friend after all of the things he's done for her.
