The timeline is different than the movie and the book. It takes place in 1990s. He steals the young girl's heart with his glasses ,nerdy interests and genuine kindness as she trys to figure out her new life as the first girl at Welton, with the help of her cousin and his friends, and live up to her father's expectations.
