After Spinel changes her ways she has a lot of thanks for Steven. But she is whisked away to homework and cant tell why she misses Steven more than seems normal. Steven is working on fixing the boardwalk and Little Homeworld after the attack. By why does he feel so distracted?

Steven is traveling with Spinel around, but there's a twist. He doesn't know she is Spinel. The real world is not what Steven thought. And becoming more "human" as he hoped is harder than he thought. Gladly he will meet someone in a way that can help him understand what is to be a human, even if she is not. Spinel's on a new mission on her least favorite planet. When the earth is not willing to help her, she takes a new form to fulfill her goal. But new problems appear along with her new performance. Basically, a story where we get to see Steven and Spinel's journey after they left the beach city.

I had this idea in mind, which is really just a one shot. * * * Basically, Spinel is reset. And not the reset to where she has the heart buns and all that. It's the reset to where her memory IS sorta erased, BUT...she's lead to believe by White she is Steven's servant. How did this happen, you ask? It all started when Spinel got into an accident, harming her gem and once Steven gets concerned enough to where even he can't fix her, he seeks White's help to get his love back. However, little did he know it was too good to be true.

Steven and the Crystal Gems have already finished saving the universe, and they decided to check on an old friend.. Spinel. Spinel felt rather lonely, because of the diamonds' discipline, she felt like they didn't care for her as much as the Crystal Gems did. Or as much as Steven did.

After having lived with Diamonds for a while, Spinel discovers that it is not the life that she wants and decides to return to Earth to be able to live with Steven, with time she discovers that she is in love with him but he does not correspond her feelings, it is then that she takes the task of doing EVERYTHING that is necessary so that Steven is only for her.

Spinel returns to Earth to visit Steven for a month. She realizes that she has a crush on the savior of the galaxy and decides to confess after he seems to share similar signs. They end up becoming official, but Connie isn't too joyous about their upbringing. She runs off and temporarily gives Steven the silent treatment. Besides dates, cuddles, and emotional conversations, Steven and Spinel have a whole new problem awaiting them when they get a message from a gem saying that White Diamond is wreaking havoc on Homeworld. Unbeknownst to them, they will be facing a threat greater than the Diamonds themselves. With limited time, Steven, Spinel, the Crystal Gems, and a new team of allies must save Homeworld before its people become the next final feast. The cover art is by me. My instagram is @raima_saurus

Set post-SU Movie and can be seen as Steven x Spinel or it can be seen as platonic. Your choice, since even if there is mention of love, Steven expresses love for the other gems all the time. There will be no smut, and this will be a pure, fluffy comfort fic about Spinel getting help and becoming happy as herself again mostly thanks to Steven. After a week with the diamonds, Spinel is feeling a fair bit better. She's bonding with the diamonds, and it seems like she may have finally found a home... However, just as things are looking up, a gem rebellion rises and threatens the diamonds. Until the threat is dealt with, Spinel is sent back to earth, to live with Steven... Needless to say, after nearly destroying his planet and killing his friends, Spinel is nervous to see him again... Little does she know, that most of Steven's friends have at one point or another, tried to do the exact same thing.
