He decided to stay but retire as Steve Rogers due to the recent events as well as the problems that would come with time due to the blip bringing back people who think Steve carrying the shield would be unfavourable due to his violation of the Sokovia Accords 7 years ago. He begins to spend time with Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch who is also dealing with things which leads to multiple events happening.
