That is until the humans came. They attacked and took over the forest in the blink of an eye leaving prey scarce among the predators. Sting and Rogue had no choice but to face off against starvation.

Stingue Week 2017 - Prompts set by @MissSparklePony1 Day 2: Fireworks Rogue has always been one to stay away from people. He lived past the plains and high on the hilltops above Kamiki Village among the peaks of Shinshu Field. He was famous for his fireworks, but this year, he hadn't sent up any fireworks. Not once had he'd even touched his tools. The herbs that he used to make all his wonderous colors were scarce leaving his furnace unused. The heat that once fired his home was nothing but dry ashes among the foliage. Illness took ahold of Rogue and left him wanting nothing but to die. Sting was the local doctor of the neighboring Yakushi Village. He despised Rogue for always taking his herbs and using them for ingredients in his fireworks. However, when Rogue's disheveled apprentice, Natsu, comes running to Sting, he almost immediately sends the poor boy home. That is until he hears those three words, "Rogue is dying."

Stingue Week 2017 - Prompts set by @MissSparklePony1 Day 3: Scars The last battle against the Titans left Sting with a missing arm. Hours passed as they treated his wounds. Rogue could only watch with worried eyes, waiting for Sting to wake up. His eyes fell on the blunt end of his arm where staples and stitches painted his swollen skin. "Don't you dare die on me," he muttered as his body crumpled to the side of the hospital cot.

That a person can, just by living, damage another human being beyond repair." ~Haruki Murakami Sting wanted nothing more than to give Rogue everything he wanted whether it was his time, his money, or even his body. But when there is nowhere left to turn and nowhere left to run, Sting knew the day would come when Rogue would forget him. The pain of losing him was consuming his spirit with each passing minute.

Stingue Week 2017 - Prompts set by @MissSparklePony1 Day 8 (Bonus): Hobbies One sleepover in Rogue's basement goes from one thing to another. Four eyes glued to the small tv screen and two controllers with only rapid clicks echoing through the room could be observed. However, a smirk from Sting leaves Rogue suspicious until his scream resonated through the basement.
