He was constantly bullied and looked down by almost all of the students in school, all except for his two older sisters, Astrid Haddock and Heather Haddock. His only friend was his pet cat, Toothless. However it gets worst, since at home his father, Stoick Haddock was cruel and rude towards him since he blamed him for his mother's disappearance since Hayden was two years old. Unlike his sisters, Stoick treated them like his princesses and gave them all of his love. He acted nice in front of the girls but immediately changed back to cruel when they were gone. Just as Hayden was losing hope and was thinking about leaving his hometown, Berk. One day, a new girl arrived at the school and Hayden had found himself head over heels for her.
