Creepypasta John Swansong, guardian of a family statue, discovers the stone ages like a human. Fearing hereditary madness, he rids himself of the statue, donating it anonymously. His family institutionalizes him, claiming he's insane. After his mysterious death in the asylum, a letter reveals he was crushed by the statue. Authorities ask Elizabeth Livingston to become the statue's guardian. The ending suggests the statue deliberately acted to reenter John's life. The condolence letter reinforces the mystery surrounding the statue.
