Andy has been living in this cell for so long he's stopped counting the days. The marks on the wall say its been at least five years, but he suspects its been much longer. He wakes every day to the same routine, staring at the lonely walls, eating what they call 'breakfast', and hoping for the luxury of seeing the other kids. All of them in the same concrete block he was, just because they could do something no one else could. And then the mute boy, the normal one that no one else likes because he's treated slightly better, shows Andy there are secrets about their captivity. Versification 2023 is here to celebrate the month of April in style, and this book is an attempt to bag the prize! And through all of this, I've just been trying to know who I really am. To come to terms with heartbreak. To bleed, and to cry, and to learn, and to grow. Before It Turns Grey is a journey, more than it is a poetry collection. It is a voyage of growing up, learning, living, and finding joy. It is bittersweet, is it not, to start a journey? So amazing to go out into the world, but scary to leave the comfort of home. But it all works out in the end. I'll see you on the other side. His eyes sharp like a hawk's, to not miss a flicker of action. What was the contract that left her trembling? "The Beauty of Purple Flowers in Spring" is a poem that celebrates the arrival of spring and the beauty of nature. It describes how the trees shed their winter coat and the flowers come into view during this season. Amongst these flowers, the poet focuses on a particular one which is dressed in purple hue and dances gently in the breeze. The poem extols the delicate petals, sweet fragrance, and vibrant color of these flowers and how they enchant all who approach them and fill them with allure. The poem concludes by urging us to cherish these purple flowers and the joys they bring, as they remind us of life's beauty and the renewal and hope of spring.
