A new girl named Katie starts at Violet's school, but she seems a little off. Not necessarily bad off; just off. And Violet is not the only one who sees her this way. On top of that, when they are assigned a group project, Katie seems particularly interested in a certain topic that might threaten Violet and her family. Meanwhile, Katie is a very intelligent girl who just started in a public school after being homeschooled her entire life. She always seems to be a little standoffish towards people, not wanting to get close to them. She, of course, has her reasons for this. Katie enjoys spending time with Violet; however, there is a chance she could have ulterior motives. Are these motives bad or simply misguided? And what might her reasoning for these be? Is there more to her story, and the story of countless supers, for that matter? And what happens when an even worse enemy than before returns with an even worse artillery?
