"Civilization has nearly fallen as Blood Storms swept through major cities, monsters of the bloody shadow followed in the storm and killed all that got in their way. Cities are massacred and the storms rage across the planet." It is a two hundred years later and the world has slowly recovered. The might Blood Storm that once covered the entire planet has fractured into thousands of smaller Storms around the world. The countryside is constantly ravaged by Blood Storms, no one goes in them unless they want to travel to another city. Unlike the countryside, cities have a chance to rebuild but mistrust and violence over resources have made it hard for them to come back together. Totalitarian groups formed from old military remnants, promising to save the world but secretly want it to stay fractured just for their own gain of power in the seat. Groups formed outside these cities, fighting for survival, Raiders attack in the night and melee becomes the new combat norm. Storm Sickness ravages large populations. They are discriminated against and hated against, considered a different race other than humans. Sanctuaries formed to protect the sick. The Kreed sit as the only group that can stop the Rymar's advance against the Sick. And in all of this mayhem, murder, chaos and misery, Kade Malken and Rovan Kreesh's stories shall unfold. (We got over 30 thousand words for the Just Write It program!)

This is a story about my solo trip on a 43 ft catamaran from Perth, Australia, to Phuket, Thailand. I had many very interesting experiences on this trip which I think the reader might enjoy.

Hailey (Ice) Mitchell was a naval aviator in her past life, having graduated Topgun at the top of her class. She was the daughter of Pete (Maverick) Mitchell and niece to Tom (Iceman) Kazansky. It was said that she was the perfect combination of both Ice and Maverick, reckless like Mav and Calm, cold and no mistakes like Iceman. She was best friends with Rooster, Phoenix and Hangman. After their last mission together, Hailey's plane is shot down, colliding with the mountain just as a large bolt of lightning hits its peak. All she remembers is waking up in a field of wheat as a young child again and coming face to face with a young Kate Carter. She remembers the blonde smiley girl in front of her grabbing her hand, running back through the rain, thunder and lightning, back to the front porch where Kate's mom had been calling after her. After sitting down by the fireplace with blankets and hot cocoa, Hailey tells the two everything she can remember about her old life. The only thing she has left of it are the three sets of dog tags she never takes off, Mavericks, Iceman's and her own. From that day on, the girls were raised as sisters. Winds of Remembrance follows the journey of a tight-knit team of storm chasers led by siblings, Ava and Joseph, who are haunted by the death of their older brother in a tornado years ago. Both are driven by a need to face the storms that took him from them, but while Ava seeks redemption, Joseph is consumed by fear and a protective instinct. As they navigate the dangerous world of extreme weather, their team is a mix of thrill-seeking adrenaline junkies and serious scientists, each with their own reasons for chasing the next big storm. Tensions rise as Ava's relationship with one of the team members, Ben, grows deeper, much to Joseph's disapproval. As the team hunts the most destructive tornadoes in the country, the siblings must confront not only the deadly storms they chase but also their unresolved grief, old wounds, and the complicated dynamics that threaten to tear the team-and their family-apart. When a massive storm approaches, it forces them to face their past, ultimately questioning if the storms they're chasing will ever allow them to escape the ghosts that haunt them.

I lay there, blood flowing out of my body, the stars twinkling, as if they were mocking me as well, I laughed, the movement jarring my wounds as my energy died, it started off as harmless taunts, how did it come to this? After Evelyn is brutally attacked she moves school, where she meets cold, popular Nathan. At first he ignores her but when he notices the scars running up and down her arms it hits home for him and he tries to find out why, and ensure it never happens again.
