Join me as we delve into the Realm of Meldevan. This book will be a collection of tales with the purpose of world building for my current novel in progress. This is a story where magic is not beyond scientific understanding. In fact, the Meldevonians have thrived off of this understanding. The method by which the clans came to know the natural world largely influenced the abilities to each. As such, the three clans had different specialties in the manipulation of energy around them. The Popplins approached the natural world with a focus on facts and evidence. Their hard scientific approach led their manipulation of their world around around them, and each field of study had equally variable magic. A biologist, for example, might be able to manipulate properties of their body. A physicist might be able to create centers of gravity to push and pull objects around them. The Elsifs took a more naturalistic approach and looked to combine themselves with the forces of nature. They valued the elemental influences around them. Their powers pertained to fire, earth, water, air, and other natural forces. They had the specialists, sworn to one elemental plain and thus powerful in that element alone. Then there were those who sought dominion over multiple elements, never at full power in any of them but gaining from the flexibility they maintained. Finally, the Nemrielle were the nomadic clan of Meldevan. They continued their wandering ways long after others pursued localized life. Their powers pertained to beast taming, and this is truly a powerful ability in a place so wonderfully diverse as Meldevan. Our story begins with the hero, Darien, alone and confused in the wild. He awakens with no idea that the world as he knew it was over. Some great calamity took out the major settlements, leaving him alone in the world. That is, except for the Nemrielle and the beasts that have risen with the fall.

Avaria, the world of magic and swords. Its inhabitants varied from country bumpkin humans to even dragons big enough to split the sky in two. The four kingdoms that ruled the corners of the world were populated by many races. The dwarves burrowed deep into the Northern mountains with snow and ice as far as the eye can see. The ever-so elusive elves hidden deep within the forests high above the trees to the East. The hot-blooded beastmen in the scorching desert sands and swamps of the South and the seemingly docile human race to the West. All four of these races developed different ways to manipulate the magic that flowed through the land. As generations settled in these places different wars and battles were fought throughout all four of the kingdoms, but one war was the greatest of them all. Legend has it that a hero born of light fought the The Abyssal King. He wanted to encompass the entire world in an eternal darkness that would eventually kill all life and bring demons into the world. The hero of light, Lior, battled against him with magic that only he possessed, light magic. With the help of his holy sword Solais he went against the Abyssal King and sealed him for all eternity, or so goes the story. But this story is different, otherwise you wouldn't be here. This story is about a boy about to go on an adventure. An adventure that would change the course of the world, and it would change the boy's destiny forever.

I'm aiming for flash fiction of roughly five thousand words or less and I want to use this as a way to learn how to outline properly. I will be working only in established universes, since I am trying to build out the online bookshelves over on Martha.net. Current plan is: Outline (Day 1&2), Rough Draft (Day 3&4), Editing (Day 5&6), Formatting and posting (Day 7). I have no idea if this will work, so I'll be adjusting my game plan as I go. For those weeks when life gets away from me, I'm going to do a drabble, since I can normally pull one of those from rough to polished in a few hours. Days 1, 2, 5, and 6 will be MuseFic, as that's my normal method of hashing out stories. Days 3 and 4 will have the rough draft and Day 7 will have the final.

This is a rewrite of Miraculous ladybug and Cat Noir. This is a set up for a rewrite of a story of mine so just expect some build up of story characters along with some art of mine. I will state which art is mine and which ones I found on Pinterest.

These are just OneShots(?) for the story HIPS. The stories will either take place before the main story, during it, or maybe even before Cold Blooded (the story that Eira's creator is making for Eira's backstory)!

As some who once loved to write I made plenty of short stories when I was little. But the love for it faded and as such, so did my skills to write. Even before when I had more talent, I could never figure out how to start the story. I could only think of scenarios that might occur or how the book would end. The beginning of the story and all that would occur in the middle always alluded me.
