A two lost people cross paths and become the main characters in one story

Sanay na si Alden sa mga gabing pauwi siya nang mag-isa-yung tipong pagod na pagod ka na sa kakacheck ng papers, pero wala kang choice kundi umuwi sa parehong madilim at tahimik na kalsada. Lagi niyang iniisip na normal lang 'yon. Routine. Lalo na kung teacher ka at sanay ka nang uuwi nang lampas alas-onse. Pero nung isang gabing basa ang hangin sa ambon, may napansin siyang kakaiba sa ilalim ng poste na kumikislap-kislap, parang hirap na ring mabuhay. Nando'n siya. Isang nilalang na hindi niya ma-describe nang maayos. Matangkad. Payat. Naka-itim na parang nilulon ng anino mismo. At ang ulo... nakatagilid sa anggulong hindi dapat ginagalaw ng leeg ng kahit sinong tao. Napahinto si Alden. Napakapit sa payong niya. Sinabi niya sa sarili, Pagod ka lang. Mata mo lang 'yan. Huwag kang praning. Pero bago pa siya makahinga nang maayos, bigla itong nawala. Kasunod no'n, may malamig na hiningang dumampi sa batok niya-at nang lumingon siya, nando'n ulit 'yung nilalang. Mas malapit. Mas mali. Bukas ang bibig, pero walang laman. Walang labi, walang ngipin. Parang puwang lang na humihigop ng init sa paligid. Simula no'n, hindi na siya tinigilan. Sa daan pauwi. Sa hallway ng apartment. Sa silid na pinipilit niyang gawing "safe space." Lagi niya itong nakikita sa mga sulok na hindi naaabot ng ilaw-mga sulok na dati naman niyang hindi pinapansin. Isang anino. Isang presensya. Isang tingin na hindi niya nakikita, pero ramdam niya sa balat, sa batok, sa bawat hinga. At habang tumatagal, unti-unting nare-realize ni Alden ang bagay na matagal niyang inaayawan isipin: Hindi niya lang basta "nakita" ang nilalang na 'yon. Hindi ito imahinasyon. Hindi pagod. Hindi stress. Sinusundan na siya ng tilted man.
