The Ernest family lives in a wealthy mansion, but their home is filled with emotional distance and conflict. Nolan is a busy businessman, Emelyn is an overworked doctor, and their three children-Sara, Sebastian, and Michael-constantly fight and feel disconnected. One night, a hidden machine in their mansion activates and sends them to Virella-9, a distant planet once inhabited by aliens who mysteriously vanished. The planet is still habitable, with air, water, and strange Earth-like resources, but everything is unfamiliar and alien. Stranded with no way back, the family must survive, explore ancient ruins, and adapt to a world that feels both livable and unknown. As they struggle to survive, they also begin to confront their broken relationships and slowly learn to work together while uncovering the mystery of the extinct alien civilization.

Its just another ordinary day, when a flying saucer is spotted. A few minutes later, the school and a large patch of earth it used to sit on are in an opaque bubble about an acre in diameter.
