The moon glowed a strange color...purple. It caught my attention so I decided to sneak away from my dinner to follow the moon which nobody could understand but it was like it was calling me...my destiny was calling me.

At first it had only been a faded image, a glimpse of him was the only thing I got, then it disappeared. It got me on my nerves for some minutes, then I continued working in my bedroom trying to concentrate in the homework, but seriously I couldn't. The second time it happened, I was writing in my English Notebook and then, a short but audible sound was heard. In that moment I realized some of my shoes had fallen from their shelf. It was 11:30pm and I was begging to get frightened. Last time this had happened was when I was 6. Though, to be more accurate, it all started that winter when I was 5. My name is Emilia, though everyone calls me Lia, i am a normal teen, well at least that's what i thought. Until...it happened and my "ordinary" life turned out to be somewhat crazier and stranger than i thought.

A billion gazillion years ago humans were kemonomimi's (humanoid characters who commonly have animal features) But after much evolution, they disappeared over time. Still In modern day there are some people who remain, though very rare. Scientists never found out why this occurred many years ago because at the time they didn't have the right resources to find out. Most thought it came from the "Gods". Now we have Nagi. Who is Nagi? What you should be asking is "What". Nagi is nothing. Nagi can be what he wants to be... and what does Nagi want to be? Normal I guess. Where did Nagi come from? Of course a loving family! His mom, dad, 2 younger brothers and older sister, so sweet! This isn't right. Something's not quite right with Nagi, everyone knows that. Nagi's family only has 1 1/2 kemonomimi's. (1/2? That doesn't make sense, you'll understand in just a second) Nagi's mom is a Japanese four lined rat snake while his sister is... half?.. of that? She has the scales and stripes but that's about it. No tail on her! Now with Nagi.. He doesn't have anything so you would think he's normal, but no. His family has seen things. Even they couldn't tell you what he is, that's for him to figure out.
