The world may appear peaceful after the epic battles of previous seasons, but under the surface, a new darkness is rising. The Mind Flayer, thought to have been defeated, survives in the void between dimensions, searching for power. Its remnants merge with the remnants of Vecna, creating a global Upside Down beneath the Earth's surface-spreading silently and invisibly across the entire planet.
