Strangled Stories

I love all things Edgar Allan Poe, so when I first read The Tell-Tale Heart, I wanted to write my own tale told from the murderer's point of view. The only way I could make my own story work is if I write my own way - not copy, no homages. And, of course, get to a frame of mind to become a madman -- religious-zealot-misogynistic-first-kill-crazy-madman head (or what I think it is like). So, this is it. A couple lives in New Jersey. There is a girl named Lydia and a guy named Darren. The couple was just living a normal life until something devastating happens to Darren. Kate, Lydia's friend, keeps getting weird images and sensations. Inspiration from: A favorite author name Elizabeth Chandler, also I have been having dreams.

After a bad experience that left Him in prison and her scarred, Diane feels that she should never trust. Now, her life is numb, devoid of all emotion as she falls into a state of depression. But will her little sister Shelly and her best friend Danny be able to save her from herself as Diane tumbles into the darkness? Or is it too late for her to be saved? As the figure of her torment comes back to haunt her, will she be able to face the horrors of her past? *A short story which is rather depressing.*
