"Alimo, Are You Okay?' is my personal story project. It's a blend of melancholy, hope, and self-discovery, following Alimo on her quiet, haunting journey through loss and questions without answers. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I loved writing them.

I wrote this poem when I was 12 years old. I have always had a love for animals. If I remember right, I had a cat named Rascal at the time I wrote this poem. My inspiration for this poem is my cat. The story behind this poem is what comes to mind when I think of what probably happened before many have adopted cats from the Animal Shelter.

Minty was a light green-blue looking stray cat, living on the streets. Although, alley cats like her are overtaken by Butch, a large stray German Sheperd. Any cat that doesn't listen to him get attacked or worse. Somehow, Butch sends out shadows of cats, which are their complete opposites. Minty meets many other stray cats, including Jay. Minty must cope with her shadow and trying to get Butch away, but she might never will unless she does something big. (Minty's shadow is a variety of dark colors, and shows Minty visions of dying cats and attacks in the future. Visions of the future are also shown.)

A brawny, ginger tabby named Winston yearns to find his freedom by abandoning his life as a domestic cat. Bitter towards his lifestyle, Winston makes his escape. Leaving behind the life he once knew. At a time where danger is imminent, Winston must be shrewd and must be prepared for anything and everything thrown in his path. Forests are a dangerous place, and Winston is most vulnerable. At least until he crosses paths with a group of other cats... but will they be accepting of Winston?
