I've known Han Jisung since we had nothing but big dreams and empty pockets. I've seen him at his highest on stage, and I've been the only one allowed in the room when the pressure gets too heavy and he just needs to breathe. We're safe. We're best friends. There's a line we don't cross. But lately, the studio feels smaller. The space between us on the couch is disappearing. When he pulls off his headphones to slide them onto my ears, his fingers linger just a second too long. And when he asks me to look over the lyrics to his newest love song, the words on the page start sounding dangerously like our own story. Not just that, the person who had once sworn to give up his life to make him happy, he was now about to take his only happiness, his son, away from him. Will he ever be able to be happy again or will he have to pay for his past mistake?

This is a mostly true story of how Minsung began. (If some of the details aren't accurate it's probably because I changed details to fit the storyline better.) This is their heart wrenching journey of how they fell in love. Through love at first sight, eliminations, and reuniting, they go through hardships and highs together. Read this story if you want to go deep into their debut, and how I interpret how it all started.
