"Ssh. Jason" I heard Bruce say soothingly as I gasped awake. "Jason. You're okay. Jason you're safe" his hand touched my shoulder and I snapped. I pushed him off harshly and glared at him "no I'm not!! You don't know what it's like inside my head!!" My voice cracked. Bruce sighed and withdrew his hand, "then tell me Jason. Is it the Joker again?" HAHAHAHA... The Jokers laughs echoed in my head and sent shivers up my spine every time I thought about it. But no. This was something that dated back much further. Before I met Bruce... much before. Before I'd even heard the name Batman... ............... An exploration of Jason's life before he became Robin, revealing the scars that shaped him and the ghosts that still haunt him.

Ghost has one rule: don't need anything you can't get yourself. He's fifteen, from District 0 - the part of the city that doesn't appear on maps and doesn't produce the kind of people who end up in schools. He knows how to find food, read exits, and disappear into a crowd. He's been doing it alone since he was three years old. Then a man in a clean jacket starts leaving food on walls and coming back the next day regardless of what Ghost does about it. Kageshiro isn't a threat. He isn't a problem Ghost knows how to solve. He just keeps showing up - patient, warm, asking for nothing - until Ghost runs out of reasons to keep walking away. The Third District Academy is nothing like District 0. The students move differently, speak differently, take up space like they've never once had to calculate whether it was safe to. Ghost doesn't know how to be someone who belongs somewhere. But somewhere between a borrowed pen, a white hospital bandage, and a spare room with an east-facing window - he starts to learn.

In the forgotten corners of a crumbling German slum, four teens live on the edge of survival ,Lukas Becker, Julian Wenzel Richter, Dominik Alaric Zobel, and Lea Maria Stollberg. Bound by hunger, loyalty, and mischief, their days are a blur of pickpocketing, hiding from authorities, and sharing stolen bread under flickering streetlamps. But survival comes at a cost. Each carries their own broken past: Lukas, the unofficial guardian of the group, raised by a soup kitchen cook with nothing but heart; Julian, his sharp-witted cousin, grieving a father and a mother who's never home; Dominik, the abandoned boy with a fire in his soul and no papers to prove he belongs; and Lea, the lone girl among them, hiding bruises no one sees and a rage she can't tame. When they plan a high-stakes heist to rob a money drop, everything changes. One gets caught. Prison isn't the end ,it's the beginning. The gang life starts whispering promises of power, revenge, and everything they were denied. But at what cost? Loyalty will be tested. Blood will spill. And childhood will end. This is the story of four lost kids in a world that forgot them and how far they'll go for freedom, revenge, and a name that means something.

In Night City, the rain never stops - it just washes the blood off the sidewalks. Jason Vega is a street kid clinging to scraps and second chances until a corporate hit leaves him with nothing but a name and a pulse. Alone and hunted, he falls in with a crew of mercenaries called Edgerunners - outlaws wired with stolen cyberware and one rule: burn fast or get buried. As Jason rises in this neon underworld, his hunger for power and revenge feeds the machine growing inside him - piece by piece, mod by mod. The more chrome he bolts on, the more he risks losing what's left of the boy who ran the red light that night. But in a city built on ghosts and data, nothing stays buried - not family secrets, not old sins, not the thin line between human and monster. Some kids get out. Jason's just trying to outrun the rain.

They say if you give it a chance, life might just surprise you. Well guess what? I don't want anymore surprises. My life is so unpredictable, I can 90% of the time know what to expect. But you can't expect me to put up with that idiot. ...and then I have to make the stupidest mistake of my life. Those percentages switch around and I'm forced to put up with the idiot. Yay. Notice the sarcasm dripping richly from my voice. Dedicated to @thewritersleeps
