This true story is about a man named Geoffrey Kitintale, who grew up in Uganda. He is 27 years old, and competitive speed skating was his life's passion, until tragedy struck. This is the story of his childhood, his venture into speed skating, and his brave recovery from a life threatening accident that changed the entire trajectory of his life.

This is the true account of my life between the ages of 15 and 18 (2021-2024). I moved from the city to a sheep farm, never having farmed before. I met wonderful, eccentric, chaotic people. I learned a about life on the land the hard way. I nearly died. I have watched seasons change, lives come and go on the tide of spring. I loved and lost, and hope to love again. I want to impart everything that I have learnt to you, dear reader. I want to imbue the pages with all that has happened, so that it may not be forgotten. Because this was a crazy time, a beautiful, crazy time. And quite frankly, I want to be able to look back when I'm eighty and laugh at myself, without wondering whether I'm remembering it right or just exaggerating to entertain the grandkids. © First edition, Zeptmoff 2025
