This teenage girl moves to Preakers Bay since her mom moved them because something happened back at her old school and city. She is trying to move on from her past but everything is on cue. Always there always reminding her of who and what she is and has become making her life and finding her purpose way harder. When she goes to her new school new things and people happen. She has to decide whether she will try to move on or keep hesitating. But if course thing never go her way. She gets involved with so much more and some of her past happens again... The fire couldn't touch her for she had burned one too many times. The sea couldn't harm her for she had been drowning all her life. But her heart could be ripped open, for she had never known love before. Those two kids from screwed up broken homes didn't do that thing called love. It was a sickness, a disease that spread and took over the body. It came like a whirlwind and shredded everything in its path until there was nothing left but sadness and heartbreak. That was what they had grown up with, it was what they had always known, but deep down they couldn't stop it from spreading through their veins and taking over. Neither had ever admitted it and neither ever wanted to. Charlotte Delaney, a misunderstood and over-medicated 18-year-old, has never had a proper family, but she's never needed one. The day after she was born, she was left on the steps of the Whyte Wyrm wrapped in a snake logoed leather jacket. Benjamin or Ben is a 8 year old little boy with Albinism and Type 1 diabetes. his entire life he has been pushed away, ignored, forgotten, and neglected. His parents never spoke a word about him to anyone, not their friends, coworkers, or even his own brothers. He lives a life of mediocracy, full of schedules, bland but nutritious food, and nobody that shows a care in the world about him out of actual care just paid to make sure he stays out of the way. What will happen when Benjamin snaps? When he gets tired of nobody showing they care. What will his brothers do when they find out they have another brother that their parents never told them about. After Eli's house burns down he is forced to find a new place to stay, and fast. He's too scared to go to his father for help and is struggling to find a job. He doesn't have many options, Until a stranger offers a place for him to stay. (In progress)

Coming to grips with wanting to be okay is a strange feeling. Do I really want to be? I should. Still the idea scares me.

Ileana had a happy life with her five years term boyfriend. They loved each other, even when Kevin left for college. But, this only changed when he came back on holidays. That's when he walked away from her life. Ileana had a depression since then, and started cutting herself and struggling with his neglect and loss. But, will her father and sister be able to help her? Or will his neglect kill her?

Coping mechanism

This poem was written when I had an epiphany. There are people in the world who would say they would help you, but they end up making you stray farther from your life. This poem is for those people, whether they are here, there, or within. Right now I have forgiven them for making me go through one of the most vulnerable moments of my 16 year old life, but I could never forget all the memories-no matter how bittersweet- I've had. In a way, I'd like to thank them now: I have learned that no matter how much we want to keep something, we have to let it go in the end.
