She prayed for a husband she didn't know existed. He fell in love with a woman he wasn't looking for. Allah wrote their story before they ever said a word. Zahra is twenty-nine, successful, and perfectly fine being alone. She has built a company from nothing, she prays five times a day, and she has said no to every marriage proposal her parents have brought forward for the last seven years. She does not need a man to complete her. She needs a man who will not ask her to be smaller. Sadiq is thirty-seven, a neurosurgeon, and a widower who buried his heart alongside his first wife five years ago. He has said no to every proposal for three years. He prays tahajjud every night, not because he wants something, but because he has nothing left to ask for. Then they meet. One glance. One whispered du'a. And everything changes. He falls first. He falls hard. He falls during the proposal, sitting across her father's living room, watching her pray with her eyes closed and her hands raised. She says yes after three nights of istikhara - not because she loves him, but because she trusts Allah more than she trusts her own fear. This is not a love story about dating or flirting or haram whispers in the dark. This is a love story about marriage. About two strangers who wake up one day as husband and wife and have to figure out what comes next. About the slow, quiet, painful, beautiful process of choosing each other every single morning - even when it is hard. Even when they fight. Even when they are not sure they made the right decision.

He told me to move. I didn't. That was our first problem. The second was that he looked like people usually listened to him. Tragic. For him. He said things like they were final. I treated them like background noise. Very balanced dynamic. "You should stop testing me." "Or what?" A pause. "You'll find out." "Can you be normal for once?" "No." At least he had self-awareness. I respected that. Briefly. Then he ruined it by continuing to exist. People started assuming things. He didn't correct them. I did. He didn't like that. I didn't care. He cared that I didn't care. Beautiful cycle. Then I almost collapsed. He caught me before I hit the floor. "Try not to die here." A pause. "Paperwork is annoying." Very touching. I would've thanked him, but unfortunately, he was still himself. He likes control. I like ruining his day for character development. Mostly his. He doesn't repeat himself. I make that necessary. He doesn't explain. I ask anyway. He doesn't lose. I take that personally. Healthy? No. Peaceful? Also no. Fun? For me, yes. For him- probably another reason to increase security. Nothing... right?

I only needed a seat on my first day at university. I didn't know it belonged to Adrian Cole - the richest, coldest, most feared student on campus. Instead of making me move, he decided I would stay beside him. Now rumors are spreading, eyes are watching, and he refuses to let anyone get close to me. I don't know if he's protecting me... or claiming me. But one thing is certain - that stolen seat may have stolen my heart too.
